Kahurere Terms of Trade

These Terms of Trade apply to all purchases made through the Kahurere website. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. Definitions
“Kahurere” means Kahurere Limited
“Customer” means the person purchasing products from Kahurere
“Products” means all wallpaper, mural, and sample items supplied by Kahurere
“Order” means any purchase made through our website
2. Orders & Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability
Orders are confirmed once full payment has been received
As our products are made to order, orders cannot be changed or cancelled once production has begun
3. Product Information & Colour Variations
All products aremade to order, and slight batch variations may occur
Colour differences between:
samples
digital images
final printed product
are normal and expected
Natural variations in texture, weave, and finish are part of the product and are not considered defects
We recommend ordering samples before purchasing full wallpaper or mural quantities, as all products are made to order and lead times apply
4. Samples
Samples are made to order and require up to 10 working days for production
Samples are indicative only and may not perfectly match the final production batch
Sample costs will be shown at checkout
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD)
Prices include GST unless stated otherwise
Full payment is required before production begins
6. Production & Lead Times
Samples: Please allow up to 10 working days for production
Wallpapers & Murals: Produced to order with an estimated 4–6 week lead time
Lead times are estimates only and may vary depending on demand and seasonality.
You’ll receive an update as soon as your order moves into production and again when it’s ready to ship.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping is FREE throughout Aotearoa
Delivery timeframes are in addition to production times
Kahurere currently ships within New Zealand (unless otherwise stated)
Risk passes to you once your order has been delivered
8. Storage & Inspection
Wallpaper must be stored flat, dry, and away from moisture before installation
Please inspect all rolls before cutting or installing
Ensure all rolls are from the same batch before installation
9. Installation
Installation instructions are provided with all wallpaper and mural orders
Professional installation is strongly recommended
Kahurere is not responsible for issues caused by:
incorrect installation
poor workmanship
wall preparation
site conditions (e.g. moisture, uneven surfaces)
Walls must be properly prepared, sealed, smooth, dry, and fully cured before installation.
10. Returns, Refunds & Defects
As all products are made to order, we do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind
If your product is faulty, please contact us within 10 days of delivery with photos
We will offer a replacement or refund where:
the product is confirmed to be defective, and
the issue is not related to installation or handling
11. Intellectual Property
All Kahurere designs, artwork, and patterns remain the property of Kahurere Limited.
Products may not be copied, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without permission.
12. Use of Images
We may request to share photos of your installed wallpaper or mural for marketing purposes.
By providing images, you grant Kahurere permission to use them across our website and social channels.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:
Kahurere is not liable for indirect or consequential loss
Our liability is limited to the value of the product purchased
14. Privacy
Your information is used only for order processing, delivery, and communication.
We do not share your information outside of what is required to fulfil your order.
15. Force Majeure
Kahurere is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including supply chain disruptions, natural events, or shipping delays.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
